To get the most out of the training, the study guide provides weekly lab exercises for hands-on measurement exercises and operating the software. A companion study guide will be provided with the course including key points, exercises, and quizzes pertaining to each session. Each live session will include instruction covering select content from the SOFO videos and the Smaart v8 User Guide, as well as supplemental demonstrations, in-depth discussion and the opportunity for students to ask questions. A 1-hour introductory session will be held the first Monday of the course, followed by 2-hour in-person live instruction sessions every Friday for the 3-week run of the course, as well as an additional Thursday session on the last week of the course. Over the course of 3 weeks, students will review assigned videos from the Smaart Operator Fundamentals Online (SOFO) webinar series.
